Dimitris is Executive Director of the Global Health & Digital Innovation Foundation, UK, PhD in AI in Medicine with 20 years in global health, advising the World Bank, the WHO, the EU Commission, UNICEF and Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Has had an instrumental role in developing health innovation ecosystems world-wide, and in resilience and recovery planning during the Covid-19 public health crisis. Participating in policy think-tanks he contributed to the EU AI Act. In 2015 helped shape policy for Deepening Health Reforms in China, now implemented as Healthy China 2030. Founder and workstream leader of the IEEE SA Value Base Pre-standard for Healthcare & Life Sciences. Previously IBM, CEO & Board Director, he serves on the board of advisors of start-ups in Europe and the US. Distinguished keynote speaker, judge and mentor in the Edison™ Accelerator, powered by GE Healthcare and Wayra UK, and Health Executive in Residence at the UCL Global Business School for Health.
