Patrick is responsible for the global strategic business activities of Samsung SDS, the $10b IT services arm of Samsung Group where he used to lead the AI division for three years. Previously he was the CEO of algorithmica technologies that focusses on machine learning for the oil and gas sector. Prior to that, he was assistant professor of applied mathematics at Jacobs University in Germany, as well as a researcher at Los Alamos National Laboratory and NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Patrick obtained his machine learning PhD in mathematics and his Masters in theoretical physics from University College London, and an executive leadership degree from INSEAD. // Industry: Healthcare; Manufacturing; Oil and Gas.
