As AI moves deeper into the core of enterprise operations and investment strategy, this week’s AI Investment Radar captures a set of signals that highlight both institutional commitment and tactical shifts in capital flows.

The biggest headline came from Meta, which is reportedly in talks for a multi-billion dollar investment in Scale AI—potentially exceeding $10 billion and marking its largest external AI deal to date. In parallel, Amazon confirmed a $20 billion AI infrastructure build-out with two new data centres in Pennsylvania, underscoring how cloud majors continue to scale their physical and compute capacities to support AI demand.

In the UK, momentum remains strong. Liquidity committed £1.5 billion to UK AI investments through its new London HQ, while the UK government itself advanced its $1.3 billion AI Opportunities Action Plan. Across the Atlantic, RSM committed $1 billion to expand its AI strategy, and SAS launched new AI models backed by a $1 billion investment, targeting labour-intensive business tasks.

On the venture side, activity is broad-based. Plug and Play closed a $50 million Fintech & AI Fund, Wyld VC in Saudi Arabia announced a $50 million AI-native fund, and Thread AI secured $20 million to drive adoption of its composable AI platform. Private equity is evolving too: AI agents are being introduced to investment committees, signaling an operational shift in deal-making processes.

Other highlights include Synaptogenix’s $100 million bet on AI tokens, and CMOs scaling up AI spending, with more marketing leaders now planning to invest over $10 million in generative AI, according to BCG.

In short, large-scale infrastructure bets, AI-native funds, and AI-driven operational tools continue to attract capital. As adoption spreads and models mature, AI investment strategies are becoming more nuanced, balancing foundational spending with domain-specific, measurable applications.
